Chief Executive Officer

    Drew Ritger has been CEO of ZIPS Franchising, LLC since December 1, 2017. Previously he served as senior vice president of development for the Oklahoma City-based national headquarters of SONIC® America’s Drive-In®. In this role, Ritger was responsible for the overall growth of SONIC® business, including franchise relations, market planning, franchise sales, area development agreements, design and construction, as well as real estate site selection. During his time at SONIC®, the franchise expanded by approximately 2,000 stores and increased annual system sales by over $3.8 billion. Ritger plans to use his expertise in franchise growth at ZIPS.

    Ritger also held leadership positions with Fast Food Merchandisers, Inc., H.J. Heinz Company and Ralston Purina. A past member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers, Ritger served on its regional board of directors. He was also a board member for the Pacific Northwest Grain & Food Association (Oregon), the Council of Logistics Management and The National MS Society of Oklahoma. Ritger is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma and is now a member of the organization’s alumni association.


    VP of Franchise Sales & Development

    Armed with nearly 20 years of experience in the franchise space, Sam Wong is responsible for implementing new strategies and campaigns to further accelerate the brand’s expansion momentum across key U.S. markets.

    “Sam not only brings great franchise development experience and expertise to our leadership team, but has a proven track record of growth and success in each of his past roles,” said ZIPS CEO Drew Ritger. “As we continue to execute our most aggressive franchise growth strategy to date, Sam’s broad experience and wealth of knowledge will play an integral role in helping lead our brand into the next phase of its strategic growth and performance.”

    Prior to joining ZIPS, Wong worked as the Senior Director of Franchise Development at Sonic Drive-In where he led the more than 3,600-unit brand’s expansion efforts in various new and existing markets nationwide. He also previously managed franchise development for such brands as Dairy Queen and Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken.

    VP of Marketing

    Tina Bagapor-O’Harrow is the Vice President of Marketing for ZIPS. Tina works with our valued franchisees, advertising agencies and in-house team to make sure your marketing and advertising efforts are getting you the most bang for your buck.

    Tina leads marketing activities that support the strategic and creative direction of Zips She is committed to bringing ZIPS flat rate, same day concept to new regions of the US. As ZIPS expands, Tina is here to insure the company’s brand and core differentiators are communicated in impactful ways.

    Tina’s time with Ringling Bros. instilled a passion for thinking outside the box. She comes directly from serving as the President of the DC office of an international advertising agency network where she brought her insight and marketing know how to franchise organizations including Choice Hotels International, Barilla and InfoUSA and Firehouse Subs.

    Tina is originally from The DC Metro region, and while marketing is what she is best known for, she is an avid downhill skier and enjoys live music, cooking and entertaining.


    Director of Store Operations

    As the Director of Store Operations, Chris Allsbrooks is responsible for everything that occurs within the four walls of any ZIPS location. She boasts more than 25 years of garment care experience — with expertise in textile fibers and fabrics — and all of the certifications to prove it. She’s so skilled she can identify any stain and how it originated with a quick glance (we have yet to see her stumped).

    Although our founders perfected the dry cleaning process, Chris has refined their methods to the highest degree. It’s thanks to her hard work and knowledge that ZIPS has one of the most transformative training programs in franchising, including comprehensive workshops, hands-on practicums, informational guides and more. Best of all, she does whatever it takes to ensure our franchisees feel comfortable calling themselves expert dry cleaners.

    Previously, Chris worked as a Textile Analyst at the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI), where she was regularly featured on their instructional video series. She says her experience at DLI taught her the best practices to support a dry cleaner. Coincidentally, it’s also how she met one of ZIPS’ founders; he was so impressed with her skill level, he had no choice but to add her to the team. She was so taken back by the sheer volume we were able to clean, she couldn’t refuse the offer to find out just how we did it.

    When she’s not helping us perfect our operational systems, she spends her free time coaching and cheering on her son, a mathematical prodigy who competes with other geniuses at a national level. She’s convinced he’s the smartest kid of all, and with a mom like Chris, we don’t doubt it.


    Director of Store Profitability

    Kathleen Razmus is the ZIPS Director of Store Profitability. She undoubtedly knows what it takes to optimize store profits from an operational standpoint because she’s been in the dry cleaning industry for more than 30 years.

    Kathleen works closely with the Operations Team to train brand-new franchisees on the dos and don’ts that may affect their store’s performance. She spends most of her workday inside ZIPS locations, analyzing each store’s operational processes. She uses her findings to identify areas of strength and areas in need of improvement. And with her expertise, it’s safe to say her consultation is indispensable to the growth of each franchisee’s business.

    The Virginia Tech alumna says one of her favorite parts about working at ZIPS is sharing the knowledge she’s gained as a former dry cleaning business owner with people who are eager to learn. However, she’s more than a garment care expert. Outside of ZIPS, Kathleen spends much of her free time rehabbing and flipping homes.


    Director of Finance & Administration

    As the Director of Finance & Administration, Scott Ashley manages all franchisor-related finances, including financial statement reporting, budgeting and royalty collection. Since joining the team in 2014, he was able to streamline ZIPS’ financial reporting structure using more than a decade of accounting expertise.

    He uses his love for numbers to analyze each store’s financial health and works with franchisees to identify areas of value within their business and key metrics that affect their bottom line. In doing so, he realized many franchisees had opportunities for improvement with the accounting side of business. That’s why he spearheaded a Business Finance Program that’s now part of the initial franchisee training process.

    His tremendous work ethic and yearning to constantly strive for improvement makes us think he’s always been an industry disruptor at heart. He isn’t afraid to jump out from behind the spreadsheet and build something from the ground up (even if that means having to shake things up a little). It’s what attracted him to ZIPS in the first place – the opportunity to help a solid business foundation grow to realize its full potential.

    The Annapolis native received a master’s in accounting from James Madison University. In his free time, he enjoys attending JMU football games (he even has season tickets – Go Dukes!). Scott says he also owns a gym membership but declined to comment on how often he goes. Most of all, he enjoys sharing laughter with his closest friends and family members over a good meal.


    Franchise Sales Manager

    As the Franchise Sales Manager, Sarah Moudry is the first person to interact with prospective franchisees. She is known for her forward-thinking strategies proven to nurture better qualified leads through a franchise system.

    Sarah is no stranger to developing a franchisor’s approach to franchise sales. Since she joined the ZIPS team, she’s seen much success after revamping and streamlining the prospect-to-franchisee process. She says the secret to her success is an intuitive ability to read and adapt to different personalities.

    The ambitious self-starter began her franchise journey climbing the ladder of the fitness industry, where she built franchise sales systems for brands like Anytime Fitness and Snap Fitness. With extensive experience in customer service and sales, Sarah is also able to lend her expertise in lead nurturing to franchisees looking to better connect with their customers.

    Outside of the office, Sarah leads a very active lifestyle keeping up with her daughter who is a master of every sport she tries.


    Associate Marketing Manager

    Ashley Deaver first joined the ZIPS Dry Cleaners team as a Customer Service and Administrative Support Specialist. After quickly mastering her role, she took it upon herself to assist other departments. In combination with her nearly eight years of marketing experience, it only seemed fitting to award her a new title: Brand Development Specialist, and most recently Associate Marketing Manager.

    The jack-of-all-trades manages brand reputation by facilitating conversations between each store and its customers. After setting up each franchisee with the necessary social media pages, she logs customer feedback and concerns. Plus, she plans the bi-yearly ZIPS Franchisee Conference.

    Before Ashley joined the team, she was already very familiar with our one-price, same-day business model. Previously, she served as a Marketing Assistant at The Marilyn Johnson Sewing Design Studio, an avid customer for several years.

    The Stevenson University graduate says her favorite part about working with ZIPS is being able to interact with both the customers and franchisees. She says it’s those relationships that inspire her to do better at her job every day.

    While she’s not living and breathing the ZIPS brand, Ashley enjoys attending 70s- and 80s-music concerts and playing tennis.


    Associate Marketing Manager

    Emily Tempchin is an Associate Marketing Manager for ZIPS after starting her career as the Marketing Specialist. She serves as ZIPS franchisees’ main point of contact regarding any marketing initiatives. She manages communication between them and our in-house designers or advertising partners.

    In true ZIPS fashion, the self-starter helped streamline the process franchisees take when ordering marketing materials, so now it’s even easier to build a community around each store. Emily also lends her expertise in social media to help franchisees better reach and engage our customers through digital channels. The out-of-the-box thinker says she loves brainstorming with franchisees to find new ways to connect with our audience.

    She’s also the mastermind behind the marketing efforts of our two corporate locations, including spearheading marketing plans, email campaigns and direct mail projects.

    But marketing isn’t her whole life. This busy bee is extremely active; not only is she a fitness instructor, but she’s also the captain of an NBA dance team. The D.C. native spends much of her free time exploring the city with her four lovable pups.
